Who it's for
Seminarians and priests
Seminarians and candidates for ministry looking for a sober, concrete formation; priests and religious who need a time of rest, spiritual renewal and discernment.

What you live
- 1
The day of the Upper Room: the Word of the day, the Eucharist as memorial, the washing of feet as a style, prayer for those who do not believe.
- 2
The city: the places of the passion, the resurrection and Pentecost, retraced with those who live in Jerusalem all year round.
- 3
The fraternal life of the house: meals prepared together, service, silence, sharing.
- 4
In Ephesus: retreats, ongoing formation for the clergy and a rereading of one's vocation in the places of Paul, John and Mary.
Casa Kerigma is neither a holiday home nor a place of mere hospitality: it is a few days of fraternal, “Upper Room” life, to rediscover one's vocation and recover from fatigue.
- How long and when
- In Jerusalem the recommended stay is 7-15 days, all year round, on request. In Ephesus residential weeks for groups of seminarians or priests, to be agreed with the house.
- With whom
- Fr Valerio Chiovaro, a fidei donum priest with the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, with the Consolatio fraternity that lives in the house; meetings with the Church of Jerusalem.
- Where
- Casa Kerigma Jerusalem, for five guests, 35 minutes on foot from the Holy Sepulchre; Casa Kerigma Ephesus, up to twenty people, a few minutes from the Basilica of Saint John and the House of Mary.
- What is asked
- A donation to Attendiamoci ODV ETS for accommodation only, suggested at €40 per person per night and proposed only after the house confirms: food is brought from home or bought locally; taking part in the common life. We ask seminarians to agree the period with their seminary.
