Attendiamoci

Casa Efeso is a project run by the Archdiocese of Izmir and the Attediamoci ODV Association, an organization founded in Reggio Calabria and operating in various cities across Italy and Jerusalem with the mission of preventing youth distress and promoting personal resources.

The story of Attendiamoci began with a shared dream: ‘to change the world’. And to change the world, there is nothing better than looking at your own reality and starting to ‘transform’ it in a positive way.

Attendiamoci is a voluntary organisation founded in Reggio Calabria on 27 September 2001 by an enthusiastic priest, Don Valerio Chiovaro, and four university students (Giovanni Mazza, Domenico Paino, Alfredo Pudano and Giuseppe Falcone) who shared the beauty of true friendship and the need to spread goodness.

Attendiamoci made a clear choice: to take an interest in “normal” young people, in the knowledge that no young person is normal, but special, capable of determining themselves to do good if, during the great adventure of youth, they meet the right people.

Professionalism, but also familiarity, hospitality, service and generosity are the main ingredients that have allowed Attendiamoci to grow, becoming a point of reference for Reggio Calabria and, today, also for young people in Milan, Pavia, Rome and Siena.
